I am excited to see that books and reading have come back in vogue, both children, teenagers, and adults alike. It’s always fun to get hold of a good story and just lose yourself in it for a few hours. Yes, this is a bit over the top, but it’s harmless fun. The excitement that’s building around the Twilight franchise just reminds me of how much I love reading and why I chose to follow my dream and become an author. I only hope my stories resonate with people and generate even half the buzz that Harry Potter, Twilight, and other stories have.

I’m thrilled when these big young adult/childrens series come out because it stirs interest in READING. It’s almost as though reading is considered ‘nerdy’ until something like Twilight or Harry Potter comes out, then it’s ‘cool’. I’ve always told my nephews and younger cousins that I don’t really care what they read, just as long as they read something.
