New NEW MOON Trailer

Posted by La-Tessa on Sep 16, 2009 in Random Musings |

I saw this the other night during the VMA’s. Great trailer, really getting me pumped for the release.

And while I’m a big Jacob fan (although I think it’s more that I’m a Taylor Launter fan-lol) I must admit, the 1:38 mark is my favorite little bit. I should be embarrased and ashamed of myself, but oddly…. I’m not ;-)

And I wonder what happens to make Bella slap one of the wolves (at the 2:00 mark), I don’t remember that part from the book, so it’s probably something new to the screenplay.

Can’t wait.

Okay…I hadn’t seen this trailer because I didn’t watch the VMAs, but OMG (I feel like a schoolgirl saying that but it’s exactly how I feel!), I’m so ready for this movie to come out. I’m torn between Team Jacob and Team Edward…I like werewolves normally, but there’s just something about the vampires that appeal to me. I’m firmly on the fence in that aspect.

Thanks for sharing this!

I feel you Danica, I’ve taken to calling myself Team Swizerland. And like you, I prefer werewolves over vampires. But between the books the movies, I’ve developed a bit of a wiggle room in my usual paranormal preference. :-)

From the book standpoint, while I can see the charm Jacob has for Bella and the necessary role he filled in her life when she needed him, I wanted her HEA to be with Edward because (1) that’s what she wanted and (2) once Edward realized that he couldn’t stay away from here, I was 100% confident that he would never leave her again. And yes, Jake could be a supreme jerk at times, but I understood where he was coming from, so I continued to hope for his maturity & redemption before the end of the series.

Hence the development of my neutral ground. I could, and still do, see both the good and bad in both Edward and Jacob. And I can see how both make good partners for her, in their own way.

Then the movie came out and the actors really brought their characters to life for me. In fact, Rob’s protrayal helped me to connect with Edward in a way I never could while reading the books, thus gaining his character a bit more of my understanding and sympathy. But New Moon is Jake’s story, and I know Taylor will do the the exact same, which will just cause me to do the exact same with his character all over again.

Make room for me on that fence with you. :-)
