Birthday Pics!

This March, I decided I wanted to to take some professional photos as a birthday gift to myself.  I don’t have any pictures of me that are less than 10 years old.  Ridiculous, I know, but I don’t like taking pictures and try to get out of taking them whenever I can. (Though you probably can’t tell it from all my FaceBook pics, but I promised I was coerced into 80% of them-lol). 

Why am I like this?  Who knows, I’ve just never felt I was particularly photogenic so I don’t usually rush towards the camara.  But  being that I turned 36 years young this year, I decided I wanted to have a nice set of photos of myself.  So I got my friend, photographer Maria Benton, to do a photoshoot.  Just let me tell you, that was an adventure.  I don’t think anyone would ever call me timid by any means, but I really am shy in front of camaras; especially when I’m the focal point.  But Maria’s a professional and is VERY patient (I can’t stress the patient part enough-lol).  The photoshoot shoot went very smoothly and I’m happy with the results.

We’re still in the finalization phase, but here’s a peek at how the session went.
