Because this word was spoken to me today & my Spirit received it.
Because it was delivered in an exact manner & context which spoke directly to my situation. It’s both consolation & confirmation of recent decisions, mindset changes & new outlook adoptions:

It’s the first day of the new year, and as such I can’t help but reflect on the past and speculate about the future. First, the past.
2011 was quite the challenge for me in just about every aspect of my life it could possibly be. Gravity was in full affect. I had to make tough decisions and let some things, ideals and people go in order to maintain my sanity and position. Life isn’t easy, but it’s worth the effort to make it what you want it to be. At least I think it is. So even in the midst of my most challenging times, I kept going. That’s what I do. I can’t and will not let anything hold me down for long. It’s just not who I am.
But 2011 was not all a challenge. I accomplished major strides in both my personal and professional lives. Not to mention, the year ended on quite the high note for me. So going into 2012, instead of adopting a traditional set of resolutions and goals, I’ve adopted a theme: PURSUIT. This year, I will be relentless in my pursuit of personal happiness, joy, and security. I have no time for anyone’s BS, I have no time for anyone’s hang ups, and I have absolutely no time for ANYONE who doesn’t have my best interest and welfare at heart.
Yes, I said it. And yes, I absolutely mean it. But hey, you can test me if you’d like…
I’m truly looking forward to 2012 and all it promises to bring. My happiness and joy is out there for the taking, and I plan on grabbing two handfuls. I have my dream, do you have yours?

Fresh back from the Colts vs. Titans game this past Sunday. Unfortunately, my boys (the Colts) lost ;-( ; but fortunately I had a BLAST.
Anyone that knows even a little bit about me knows I LOVE Peyton Manning, I was disappointed he couldn’t play, but he was in the building, so I was cool beans! And YES, I did wear my Peyton jersey and YES I was the only one adamantly cheering for the Colts. To say I was in the minority is an understatement. Trust me, I heard it the entire game, thankfully it was all in fun
So without further ado, here are a few of my fav pics from the game. And yes, they are heavily slanted towards the Colts

So after a while of just random picture taking, I FOUND PEYTON!!! Let the stalking from a distance begin

Peyton breaking it down
All in all, great trip and a great game. Looking forward to the next one
This past Sunday I attended my very first NFL game, the Broncos vs. the Titans. It was a fun, yet adventurous trip, most of which I won’t get in to. But on the plus side, I met some new people, ate some good food, and enjoyed an excellent game and fellowship.
Here I am in on the pedestrian bridge heading towards the venue, couldn’t resist pausing for a pic with LP Field in the background. It was an excellent day to check out the game too. The sun came out just in time to chase away all the rain and clouds, the weather was perfect. Nice and sunny, but not too hot and a nice light breeze blowing about.
Due to the generosity of one friend, me and another friend were able to enjoy the game from the executive suites. Very nice accommodations, a good view, plenty of good food, and excellent company.
Now, on to a few “action shots” from the game
All these homemade Locker jerseys tripped me out. Apparently Vince Young is not a fond memory for the Titan fans.
The sea of blue we saw when leaving the game was pretty awesome. Just the sheer volume of home team fans leaving all in good spirits, sporting the home team colors…
All in all, an excellent time. Can’t wait to go back to check out my Peyton-less Colts in a few weeks. It may get a bit hostile, but I’m cheering for the Colts during that game. Y’all pray for me now
