It is COLD outside. And no, I don’t care if weather we’re experiencing here in the south is nothing compared to what the plains or the north sees in the winter. I really don’t. I’m a southerner and we’ve been hovering around the 30’s (on a good day) for a couple of weeks now, and in the teen’s (on the bad ones).
So when it get’s this cold, I have to pull out Wolverine:
Wolverine, as named by one of my good friends, is the one of the hats I purchased while visiting NY last year in February (like a nut, talk about cold– that visit was downright painful at times, but I had a blast!!) Wolverine was very good to me in NY and initially, I didn’t want to buy him because I knew I would never have a need for a fur trimmed hat with ear flaps in the the south.
Boy was I wrong!
Wolverine has been getting steady action for well over a week now. And I’m happy to report that I’ve not seen anything that even looks like my beloved Wolverine when I’m out and about. Oh, I get stares, trust me, but I really don’t care. My head is nice & warm and the cold wind is not blowing into my ears (which is quite painful).
I was visiting a friend’s blog today and came across this quiz. Curious, I took it. I am not surprise at the results at all:
You are Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice! You are intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. You have a good head on your shoulders, and oftentimes find yourself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of ridiculousness. You take great pleasure in many things. You are proficient in nearly all of them, though you will never own it. Lest you seem too perfect, you have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves you very ill indeed.
Just for fun, here’s the Mexican Breakfast routine choreographed by Bob Fosse. It’s been sait this was Beyonce’s inspiration for her “Single Ladies” video. So peep the original version here:
I was browsing through the web today and came across this:
It’s an Edward & Jacob corn maze. Get full story here.
Ok, maybe we have gone a bit too far with this Team Edward and Team Jacob stuff…
Nah
I am excited to see that books and reading have come back in vogue, both children, teenagers, and adults alike. It’s always fun to get hold of a good story and just lose yourself in it for a few hours. Yes, this is a bit over the top, but it’s harmless fun. The excitement that’s building around the Twilight franchise just reminds me of how much I love reading and why I chose to follow my dream and become an author. I only hope my stories resonate with people and generate even half the buzz that Harry Potter, Twilight, and other stories have.
